"Hay" Clandonald

Mixed agriculture is our primary industry.  In 2002, our area saw a drought not seen since the 1930’s and 2003 had the BSE crisis.  To help “boost” the spirits of our local and surrounding farming community, the Clandonald Agricultural Society hosted the first “Hay” Clandonald in January 2003 as an evening of entertainment, information, and fellowship.

Any profit from this event goes back into our community for the upkeep of our Arena and grounds.  Our facilities and grounds are used by the Clandonald 4-H Multi Club plus other organizations and individuals in the community.

The 2023 "Hay" Clandonald will be held on Friday, January 20 in the Clandonald Community Hall. Doors will open at 5 pm, followed by a roast beef supper served from 5:30 to 7 pm. The agricultural speaker is Carien Vandenberg speaking on livestock research projects. The Amazing Brent - The Great Unknown Magician is this year's entertainment.

Tickets are $20 each, preschoolers free - advance tickets only. Tickets are available at the Clandonald Country Store (780 853 8339), the Clandonald Seed Cleaning Plant (780 853 5279) or in Vermilion at Rural Roots (780 853 4330).
